"We have the government that we have allowed. That includes myself. We are fat, lazy and stupid. We bitch and whine about what we don’t like, only when we think it might directly affect us, and then we move on. We allow ourselves to be dived by political bullshit and propaganda, we tear each-other apart. We say we fight for what we want to do…but we eat what they want us to, we drink, we take the pills they want. We pay the bills. Some cling to their guns, not realizing the reason we have them is to fight the tyranny they are supporting. Some are naive, hopeful others are jaded and cruel. We’ve allowed a belief system, and a belief system of so-called terrorist to shake us and hate our neighbor. This is what they want - division, hate and ignorance. A political and religious divide as a distraction from money and power. We have the government we deserve because we hate each-other too much to unite and fight for something better. We’re letting them win, and only have ourselves to blame." -Kimberly Anne-Nicole Ballinger
I remember this being posted some time ago by a man whose (10 years old I believe) son sent this to his local Zoo after his first visit. It’s exactly how I feel on the rare occasions I make a trip to the one we have in my own city. You can of course argue that they are necessary to preserve species on the verge of extinction -but then, if we weren’t destroying their habitats, we wouldn’t need them in the first place. Not to mention many there are not going extinct, just jailed for the amusement of humans. Something I wholeheartedly disagree with. -Kimberly Anne-Nicole Ballinger

I do not hate, and I don’t support hate. I am an antitheist and have some very strong opinions about religion and blind faith -but I do not hate, and I do not treat people poorly because they have beliefs. I treat people online and off based on their words and actions and what they support. What I say online, I have said in my real life. To both atheists and theists, both who bring so much negativity would do well to remember there is a person behind your computer screen. If you would not say it to a person standing in front of you, or the ‘tone’, you have no right to do so on the internet. Don’t be a hypocrite, and don’t be a coward. -Kimberly Anne-Nicole Ballinger
"We care genuinely about others. And as atheists that’s why we stand, fight against religion and it’s tyranny, its control. We want religion out of our government, so all are treated equally, fairly -no matter what they believe or don’t. But despite our good intentions I feel many of us lose sight of the individual. In our frustration we lack empathy. I am the first to admit I am guilty of this. But when we step back, look at the universe and how small we are, how insignificant – at the end of the day, all we have is each other. In the fight against ignorance, blindness and hate, many of us would do well to remember that when stripped down; we all love, and are all fighting to survive. " -Kimberly Anne-Nicole Ballinger
"I’ve often heard ‘Love the sinner, hate the sin’ in all its various forms. But I’ve often found this condescending and self-righteous, because they are still condemning the core of who people are, while washing their hands of judgment. Atheists hate religion because it is a violent lie and people are born into it thinking it is truth. Fundamentally it allows for no tolerance, acceptance of other beliefs or world-views. Atheists fight religion I think because they love people, and want them to think for themselves, critically, without the influence of superstition ..no matter what the outcome might be. They hate the wars, the persecution, bigotry and inequality. I hate religion -but I only speak against it because I love the people it works against and the lives that suffer because of it. What they do when they break free ..is their own beautiful freedom of choice." -Kimberly Anne-Nicole Ballinger
"We can all agree blind faith is negative especially concerning religious beliefs -though many of us are willing to use ‘faith’ when talking about our fellow man. Our ‘faith’ in mankind, that people can be good etc. But is this ‘faith’ per say, or is this more trust, reasonable expectations than anything else? Should we use hope instead; or has a pure word been perverted by religion? " -Kimberly Anne-Nicole Ballinger
“Squeeze a fraction of the galaxy into your mind and then -you’ll have a better idea of what you’re looking for. To even partially comprehend the scale of a single galaxy is to ..almost disappear. And when you remember all the other galaxy’s, you shrink one hundred times smaller still. But then you remember what you are. The same facts that made you feel so insignificant -also tell you how you got here. It’s like you’ve become more real. Or maybe the universe becomes more real. You suddenly fit. You suddenly belong. You do not have to bow down, you do not have to look away. In such moments all you have to do is keep breathing.” -Science Saved My Soul

"A museum puts a saddle on a dinosaur, people love it, eat it up and see it as reality. I love my Country, and all rights I have -to say this specifically. I am so completely embarrassed by the people I have to share it with. It’s a love hate relationship. I love my freedom of speech, and the right I have to say people are fucking idiots. Hate? Fun word, too much emotion to bother with." - Kimberly Anne-Nicole Ballinger
"It is beautiful to me; we begin, are born of stardust and we will end as such. I don’t see why so many ask for more." -Kimberly Anne-Nicole Ballinger
"I don’t like fence sitters. People that take the middle ground on any and everything. People that self righteously sit in judgment of both sides and point fingers -while never making their mind up or taking a position on any issue. It is one thing to put yourself in a different individuals shoes, and look at the other side of the issue (whatever it may be) it is another, to pretentiously wash your hands clean and condemn others that are passionate for having a strong opinion, sharing it and standing their ground in defense. I will respect a ridiculous (religious or political) extremist that is in conflict with my own views, before I would a judgmental asshole that stands for nothing, and holds others in contempt for being outspoken." -Kimberly Anne-Nicole Balling
